Cambridge · established . 2025 · Documentation of everyone voice.

We sit with people, draw, talk, and turn what they say into something they can hold.

An equal conversation between two people. We use technology to put words on the page — voice transcription, drawing tablets, felt tip whatever fits the person — so the work belongs to them, in their own language.

The Garvald Globe was the first version of this: eight pages, made with residents and staff, twenty years ago. Acollage of image and picture and mark put together on a photocopy .

Ditchburn Place is the current one.

This isn't a one-afternoon workshop. It isn't an Instagram tree handed out with crayons to colour in. We work with real memories, over time, with people whose stories matter to them.

Patient, slow, on a level. It tak time and and range of factor to make some feel that their story will be listen to . Remincing and listen to other can bring a range of stories that have a been of what make a person identiy No false deadlines.

Weekly sessions at Ditchburn Place sheltered housing, Cambridge.

A collaboration with Teresa Hurrell, Older people team Leader, Independent Living Service ,Resident of Dtichburn and Cambridge City Council Communities. Running since October 2025.
